It's not everyday we can say a helicopter has landed in our backyard. 
Some of the translators use helicopters to get in and out of their villages. We had the thrill of watching this bird touch down in our yard as Ed and Catherine McGuckin (translators in the Menapi area) arrived to Alotau. Though helicopters are not foreign to us, it was still incredibly exciting to watch the arrival and departure from our front porch.
