
Every November Alotau comes alive with color, sounds and the faces of friends from neighboring islands and villages as they gather to race, sing, and show off their traditional dress and dance. It is an educational event as well as a festive one.

Such a neat event! Thanks for all the photos. From the one of Westy's legs hanging over his perch, I forecast that he is going to have the same build as his dad--long and lean!
